Dr. Maritha Osekre-Amey

Co-Founder & Executive Director

Dr. Maritha Osekre-Amey is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Westfield Bridge College, Smart Things Training Centre and Grow-On Farm.

She holds both a DBA and an MBA from Roxbourg Institute in Switzerland, an MSc. in International Management from the University of Liverpool, UK; a B.A. in English and Theatre Arts from the University of Ghana, Legon and a University of Cambridge CELTA. She is a published Writer and Poet, a Fellow at Roxbourg Institute in Lausanne, Switzerland and Hope Builders Academy in Kaduna, Nigeria. She also serves as the National Secretary of the Association of Ghana Industries Women in Business (AGI/WIB), as well as Chair of the Executive Core Team of Sisters Shifting Nations (USA – Africa), and a certified Mindfulness Facilitator.

With an international career spanning over two decades, she has gained invaluable experience in administration, education and humanitarian work. Her last international stint was with the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, where she worked with the Noncommunicable Diseases and Mental Health (NCD) team to improve the status of NCDs in the world, especially in low-resource countries worldwide,

In the last four years, she is living her dream of nurturing world-ready, highly educated and confident young people who can easily navigate the challenges of their future in Accra, as well as contributing to food security through her organic farming in the Central Region of Ghana.

Driven by the conviction that Africa’s fundamental social issues are better solved in Africa, this serial entrepreneur balances operating viable businesses with sourcing relevant solutions to local social issues,

specifically among the youth in Ghana and Africa, through her work with Sisters Shifting Nations USA/Africa and the AGI/WIB.

Maritha is married with three children.
